Mute is a new technology Nasal Dilator developed by a team of specialists to alleviate the severity and incidence of snoring and improve the quality of your sleep. It fits snugly into your nose while gently and comfortably dilating your nostrils as you sleep. Anatomically inspired and designed for comfort. It is made from ultra-soft medical grade polymers. Mute increases the volume of air travelling through the nose during sleep, preventing congestion and encouraging nasal breathing - factors critical to a reduction in snoring and a better quality of sleep. Mute’s three sizes and patented independent dilation system allows for subtle adjustment from one nostril to the other, ensuring optimal air-flow through both passages of your nose. Once you know what size works best, you can order a small, medium or large pack, and you'll get 3 of the individual sizes in a package. By ordering this, you will receive 1 each small, medium, large.
1. Hold Mute by the bridge with the curved arms facing towards you
2. Gently guide the device backwards
3. You've got the correct position if the bridge spans across the top of your nose. If not, push the bridge upwards to the tip of your nose. It is the only part that should be visible outside of your nose.
4. You may need to remove Mute and adjust the width of the paddles on one or both sides for a customized fit
5. You have the right fit when you can feel more air entering your nasal passages as you breathe in through your nose. You should be able to feel the ribbed paddles hugging the internal curved walls of your nostrils where the nose meets your cheek.
6. Try a smaller size if you cannot insert the curved arms and paddles at all or if you have any discomfort.
7. If you tug gently on the bridge and it comes out to easily, then it's too small; try a larger size.
How do I know what size I need? If you haven't tried Mute yet, order this sizing kit, and you'll receive one of each size.
When you have Mute inserted correctly, there should be a little resistance when you try to pull it out by the bridge. If it comes out easily, it's too small. Then try a larger size, until there's a slight resistance. See the YouTube video on this page for a demonstration of how to insert and size your Mute.
Are the dilators re-usable?
Yes, they will last for multiple uses, depending on the individual
